I couldn't find a reference to it on the www. Also, I gather from reading Eli Day's autobiography that the old fort was between State and 1st east, and between Main and 1st north. During the Black Hawk War, an addition was built over the block where the old high school stood (east of State, between 1st and 2cnd north).
