WA-SAT-KA LODGE Burned by vandals

The Wasatch Lodge was located up Pleasant Creek, east and north of the Mt. Pleasant Power Plant. There was a swinging bridge that crossed the creek from the main road.  Many happy memories of Family Reunions, Campouts, and Wiener Roasts were held there by Wasatch Students, Faculty and townspeople.

Barbara Ann Rasmussen of  Mt Pleasant's Fred Rassmussen  family  won the naming (WA-SAT-KA)  contest for the Lodge and her name may have been carved on an entry way log.  She was probably a freshman at the time or perhaps eight grade 1933 or 34.  lee
