Overland Hotel ~~~ Deseret News ~ April 4, 1967

In the early 1900s this building was a creamery owned and operated by  Ole Hansen and the Barton Brothers.  It was organized in 1892.  The creamery was the first in Mt. Pleasant and third in the territory.  After the death of Mr. Hansen, it was turned into the Overland Hotel.  It was located at approximately 80 South State Street.

Old North Ward Church ~ Demolished May 19, 1952

Here we see the North Ward Church, Social Hall on the right and Hamilton Elementary in the background.  All these buildings are no longer standing.  We have been told that the bell from the old North Ward church hangs in the steeple of the new chapel that replaced the old chapel.

In this photo you can see the roof of the Mt. Pleasant Carnegie Library  in far background (It is still standing )
In the middle we see the North Ward Church being demolished.  The red brick building is the old Hamilton School, and the far right is Social Hall.

Wearers of the W - Wasatch Academy Football 1920

Lee adds: Kathy: Wasatch's football team 1925, Ernest G Brunger ,coach and Gordon Brunger, ball boy. Three Mt Pleasant players for sure, John Keusseff, Earl Beck and Jimmie Meyrick. I don't remember any Becks at Wasatch so Coach Brunger may have borrowed Earl from North Sanpete to make a team.
