Highlights in the Life of James Monsen
In this segment James Monsen tells about working by shearing sheep for 6 cents per head, working for the DR& G, working at a sawmill, planting gardens for Z.C.M.I. He returned home to buy calves and returned to making shingles.

In the spring of 1882 a group of boys and girls assisted in shearing for Leonard Jordan at the head of Sanpitch River,

"O Lord of love, come from above in this our mountain home, and give us meat, that's fit to eat, and take away the bones"
