Zeldon Roy “Tut” Rostron

Zeldon Roy “Tut” Rostron, 83, of Spring City Utah, passed away April 21, 2019 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah surrounded by loved ones. Roy was born March 2, 1936 to David Delno Rostron and Dorothy E. Hansen, in Moroni, Utah.
He spent his childhood years in Clear Creek, Utah where he gained numerous fond memories that he loved to share with everyone he met. He moved to Mt. Pleasant to attend high school, where he met the love of his life, Lida Verene Jensen. They were sealed in the Manti Temple on Oct 28, 1954. They became loving parents to 4 children, Sherie, Karl, SherRane, and Nathan.
Roy served as a member of the Utah National Guard. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he enjoyed many callings but his favorites were scout leader and temple ordinance worker. Roy loved sports and was a great player, coach, and spectator. His other passions in life included hunting and fishing and he took every chance he could to do both.
He was a loving and devoted husband and took care of Verene after she was involved in a life changing accident. He was a friend to everyone he met and always had a story to share with a smile on his face.
Roy is survived by his children Sherie (Val) Sorensen of Spring City, Karl
(Kelei) Rostron of Las Vegas, NV, SherRane Rostron of Ephraim, Nate (Rhonda) Rostron of Spring City; 12 grandchildren, 19 ½ great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter, all of whom he loved tremendously and in return everyone loved Grandpa Roy. His siblings Jack (Thea) Hansen, Erlene Johnson, Scott (Joyce) Hansen, Gail (Joe) Trlica. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Verene, his parents and stepdad Waldo Hansen, and siblings Delno J Rostron, Bonnie Isaacson, and Waldo “Toy” Hansen.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday April 24, 2019 at 11am at the Spring City Rock Church with viewing Tuesday April 23, 2019 6-8pm and Wednesday April 24 9:30-10:30am both at the Rock Church. Interment to follow at the Spring City Cemetery. The family would like to express our sincere thanks to Hollie Draper for her many hours of loving care and to the staff at Country Lane Assisted Living.
