Just one year ago our son Jon took a picture of this cougar on top of the storage sheds that are located just a half-mile from our home. There is an increase in these animals lurking everywhere. As the deer population is now moving down from the mountains and the hills, these wild animals are regularly seen in town. Sometimes they are traveling up and down Pleasant Creek. One was seen snoozing on a neighbor's porch. A more frightening event was when a girl that worked at a cafe here in town went out to take the trash. As she opened the lid on the dumpster, out jumped a cougar.
