Chante' Birch and Roxy Washburn

Miss Mt. Pleasant, Chante' Birch, daughter of Lori and Troy Birch, and granddaughter of Jack and Joan McAllister hosted a fun day for the children of Mt. Pleasant and surrounding communities at the Relic Home, Wednesday, July 15th. She had many activities all having to do with the Mt. Pleasant Pioneers. The activities included a tour through the Relic Home, a visit to the Blacksmith Shop,
where each child recieved a "prairie diamond", then on to a demonstration of milking a goat and a chance to taste the goat's milk.
They were also shown how to whittle a willow whistle, play and recieve the pioneer game of a button on a string. No one left without a cool glass of homemade root beer and a sugar cookie. We entertained approximately 90 children.
