My mother, Helen Rigby belonged to the Rebeckahs here in Mt. Pleasant for many many years. Following you will find their own present-day definition.

Our members must be 16-18 years or older, believe in a Supreme Being, Creator and Preserver of the Universe, and be faithful to their Country. Rebekah’s exhibit the true principles of Odd Fellowship which are Friendship, Love, and Truth and in this day and age are extended to rendering service to our communities- SERVICE IS OUR GOAL. "
You will find in the following cookbook, some dandy recipes. But not just that. You will also find the "Boosters" of the businesses that supported their program and contributed to the printing of the cookbook. You will also find some of two and three digit phone numbers that we used to use to call these businesses.
Our own phone number was 035J1, which had four digits. It was also a party line. A party line meant you could listen in on conversations of those who shared your party line. We shared ours with Angus Ney and Athol Madsen.
